Climate data from Purple Valley (rear of Milne Ice Shelf), northern Ellesmere Island, Nunavut

Climate data is recorded hourly by an automated weather station, and transmitted daily using a satellite data connection. The station comprises a Hobo Energy Pro logger, an Iridium satellite transceiver, a solar panel/battery bank, and the following sensors: air temperature at 1 m above surface, air temperature at 2 m above surface, relative humidity at 2 m above surface, wind direction and wind speed at 2 m above surface, automated snow depth sensor, and incoming radiation at 2 m above surface.
