With the assistance of local research coordinators, participants from Dehcho Region communities were recruited to take part in the survey. Within the survey, each participant was asked to describe the types of traditional foods they had consumed over the past year, how frequently those foods had been consumed, the approximate locations from where the foods had been harvested, and the methods by which the foods had been prepared and/or cooked. The results from these questionnaires were collected using a food frequency questionnaire.
