Design and Implementation of seismic signal correlator using visual Basic Plot manager

A seismic signal correlator is developed using the Visual studio. Net.version 7.0.The software was compiled in order to overcome the complexities and errors recorded by Geophysics students and researchers in the correlation of digitized seismic signals during the processing stage. The plotter used is capable of plotting two different digitized seismic data and the results displayed graphically as curves. This makes the cross and autocorrelation faster and more reliable sincece less errors are involved. The results shows that the software will as an interesting tool for teaching and learning of the concept of correlation as a data processing technique.
