Aqueous Dissolved Organic Matter (DOM) lability and characterization at the Cape Bounty, Melville Island, Nunavut - 2016

Water samples (for nutrient and ion concentrations, stable water isotopes, Dissolved Organic Matter (DOM) fluorescence, Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC) and Total Dissolved N (TDN) concentrations, and labile DOC incubation experiments) were collected from seven sites of ponded water or emerging groundwater in the West River watershed. In situ water temperature and electrical conductivity were measured and recorded at the time of collection. Samples were collected four times between July 12 and August 6, 2016. Water temperature, pH, and electrical conductivity measurements were taken again under field laboratory conditions. Samples were filtered within six hours of collection and stored until transport.
