2015 Apex River watershed stream discharge records

Stream level was measured at found sites in the Apex River watershed: the Apex River (AR) near the town of Apex, at the West tributary (WT), the East tributary (ET) and the confluence of the two tributaries (CF). Water level was obtained by correcting stage measurements for barometric pressure variations as measured using onset U20 level loggers (+/- 2mm). Stage was recorded every 10 minutes. Rating curves were developed from regular (bi-weekly) area-velocity stream discharge measurements, at fixed transects using a Scoffer current velocity meter. Estimated uncertainties on the discharge measurements are +/- 15%.
